2nd May

Day coach outing to visit Castle Hill, Filliegh, Barnstable starting with a tour at 11am by Lady Aron.

In the afternoon we move onto RHS Rosemoor.

 

7th May, Wednesday

Walk and Talk to Enys, near Penryn, at bluebell time.

In the afternoon move onto Tregarthen at Mylor Downs and a chance to visit the neighbouring La Casa Verde Nursery.

 

22nd May, Thursday

Walk and Talk to visit two of our members gardens.

We first visit Gerald and Jennie Sandy's garden at Wheal Darlington, near Marazion and in the afternoon visit Mary-Ella Piggott's garden at Trewoofe, Lamorna, a true cottage garden.

 

4th June .Wednesday

Day coach visit to Marwood Hill and Kescott Garden

 

18th June Wednesday pm

Guided tour of Tregothan Botanical gardens. 40 hectares with a camellia maze rhododendrons, champoion trees and the first English Tea home.

 

10th July. Thursday

Self drive to Mount Edgcombe. A Grade 1 listed landscape and historic Country Park overlooking Plymouth Sound.

 

18th July. Friday

An evening walk and talk around the bamboo collection at Trebah Gardens followed by supper in the Planters Cafe.

 

26th August to 30th August

A short break holiday to visit some Norfolk gardens and on  the way home Beth Chattos famous garden near Colchester. Other gardens included Pensthorpe, Mannington Hall, Bressingham, The Old Vicarage, Bradenham Hall, East Ruston Old Vicarage, Coton Manor, The Exotic garden. Staying DBB at Dunton Hall.

 

2nd September Tuesday

Day coach outing to NT Trengwainton and Tremenheere

 

10th September Wednesday

Propagating at Porthpean

A half day workshop at Porthpean House, Lower Porthpean with Michael Taylor and Tony Tregilas on the propogation of camellias.

 

16th September Tuewsday 7.30pm

Lecture by Brian Davis, "The Pamt Family Cornaceae"

 

17th September Wednesday 2.30pm

Trereife, Madron, Penzance, on the A30 Penzance to Lands End road.
